Despite my absolutely abysmal swim time, I still managed to finish 262nd out of 1229 finishers. I was 34th in my age group of 158. Given my mediocre training, I'm pretty happy with that!
An even rosier spin on the numbers is that Mom and I finished in the top 20 mother-daughter teams (19th out of 111)! Not bad at all.
